What do I consider to be Universal Orlando’s best kept secret? Remember when I said that I consider a lanyard to be a must-buy for a Universal Orlando vacation if you are staying on-site? You should stick your AAA card in there, because it’s good for a discount off most dining and shopping places in the two parks. It’s awesome-show it and bam! 10% off-it’s like being a VIP. Even a $.80 refillable cup refill can get the discount. Definitely bring your card with you.
If you’re looking for other ways to save money at Universal Orlando, I strongly suggest that you check out Orlando Coupons.  They’ve got some awesome coupons I haven’t seen anywhere else, for restaurants (mostly at CityWalk*).

If you check out Restaurant.com, they have Bice at the Portofino Bay Hotel (PBH).  The restrictions are listed as being Minimum 2 entrees. 18% Gratuity added prior to discount. Excludes: Holidays/Special Events, Other Offers/Promotions. Present prior to ordering. One certificate per table. No split checks. Between now and November 8, save 70% at restaurant.com using the code MEAL.
*As long as we’re on the subject, I have to say I’m pretty meh on Citywalk.  I love shopping there   (Vera Bradley store, LOL), but the clubs are kind of meh.  The first night I headed over there, they were closed for a function.  The second time, I was wandering around.  While parts were fun (music videos on a huge screen, and a live band), the amount of drunkeness was appalling.  I’m a firm believer that on vacation, alcohol is a food group.  However, when it’s six at night, and security is asking numerous people for ID’s because they’re loudly drunk in a food court, so not my taste.
