Universal 101 for Adult Disney Fans: Part V

This entry is part 5 of 11 in the series UOforWDWfans

To begin with, I need to let you guys know that I’m fat.  At Disney World, being fat is not really a problem (AllEars has a great feature called WDW at Large on their site).  Speaking for mysef (I’m a size 20 and 5’6″), the only ride I’ve ever had trouble with is the Sum of all Thrills, in Innoventions.

However, I’d heard that Universal Orlando’s parks are not nearly as size-friendly.  Universal does have test seats outside of their attractions.  In theory, this is good as it permits you to test the ride seats before you get in line.  In practice; however, these seats seem to be used for photo-ops and entertainment for kids too small to ride. (Please note, I do not fault people for photo ops.  One of my favorite pictures of my dad is one my sister-in-law took of him in the test seats for Dr Doom.)

I’ve gotten to try the test seats for Hulk-I pretty much just fit in the larger Hulk harness.  Owing to my migraine issues, I haven’t tried it.  I’ve ridden The Mummy, Men in Black, Popeye, Spiderman, and the Simpsons Ride without any trouble.  However, I cannot even sit down in the test seat of Dudley Do-Rights’ ride.
