April 21st, 2012 · No Comments

So apparently my girl Melissa of Disney on Wheels improved upon Chip & Co’s list and vegetarianized it.  Here we go (Had it, never had it, need to try): End total:  34.5, giving me Disney Foodie in Training Getting better. You probably have kids or family that are meat eaters and are stuck visiting the [...]

April 13th, 2012 · 1 Comment

Thought we could use some fun this Friday the 13th, so I am yoinking Chip and Co’s 100 Disney Foods list. I ranked with 28 which Chip thinks means 26 – 50 – Disney Foodie in Training – Getting better. You probably have kids and are stuck visiting the Buffets every visit. You drool over Disney Food Photos and have a mental checklist of things you want to try. Nope, just a vegetarian adult. :) :

WDW Not Just for Kids Review: The Fountain

October 8th, 2011 · 2 Comments

The Fountain is a, well, soda fountain at the Dolphin Hotel.  After going to Fantasia Gardens, we needed to grab a cab back to AKL.  However, owing to our last-minute change of plans, we had not gone to Goofy’s Candy Co as planned.  We had skipped dessert at Whispering Canyon because of this plan, so [...]

Disney Discount: Restaurant.com

September 12th, 2011 · 7 Comments

At home, I’m a huge fan of getting discounted restaurant gift certificates at Restaurant.com.  However, I always thought that there was no point in looking at them for Orlando, as I stay on-site at both Universal and Disney World. However, Kim of Reward Site Round Up posted that the House of Blues, which is in [...]

WDW Not Just or Kids Review: Whispering Canyon Cafe

August 29th, 2011 · No Comments

Adults and the new refillable mug system…

July 30th, 2011 · 4 Comments

I need to start this post off with a confession-I once re-used a refillable mug. It’s no defense, but it was the trip when I was a college senior, and I had to spend my nights doing silly things like job hunting and writing papers as opposed to trip planning. Ironically, I used the old [...]

I’ll give you formal introductions later, but one night I an taking my nephews, who are 15 and 12, to Whispering Canyon Cafe.  I chose Whispering Canyon Cafe because I fell in love [...]

WDW Not Just for Kids Review: Fresh-a-peel

May 16th, 2011 · 1 Comment

In December (man, I might want to actually re-start my trip report, huh), I had planned on checking out Fresh-a-Peel, the “healthy option” section of Pollo Campero in Downtown Disney.  These restaurants are located in the old McDonald’s area, and I was impressed by how un-McDonaldsy the place looked.  I was very excited to see [...]
