Magical Blogorail Green: Top Foods in Disney World

This entry is part 18 of 24 in the series MagBlogorail

MBGreen Logo 2013Welcome to those of you joining me from A Disney Mom’s thoughts and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.”

I like food (if you’re just stopping by, I’m a longtime vegetarian).  As such, I’ve talked a lot about food here before.  So I thought I’d share a couple hits from my trip last week.

Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbor HouseMy favorite Disney counter service meal may well be the Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbor House.  It’s hummus with broccoli slaw.

I re-tried Tonga Toast at Kona this trip. When I tried it in 2009, I found it to be the same as at Captain Cook’s, and was unimpressed. This time, I liked the strawberry sauce and they substituted fruit salad for the meat. I still would go to Captain Cook’s, but am not as anti-Kona as I was.
Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Mouse on the Mind.

I’m a big fan of Tonga Toast, but I like anything at Kona. However the best way to eat there is in a group and everyone shares since the portions are so big.
