Welcome to those of you joining me from A Disney Mom’s Thoughts and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 3rd stop on our Magical Blogorail.
This month’s topic is Favorite Things About the Holiday Season at Disney. Now I LOVE the Holiday season at Disney. Love it! However, when I’m daydreaming as I read posts of people at Reunion or the like, one thing drifts to mind…or rather nose.
The gingerbread houses at many of the hotels. When I was at the Beach Club last year, I saw their amazing carousel. Now, as if a huge, edible gingerbread house was not awesome enough. these are made new every year here, and at the Boardwalk, Polynesian, and Contemporary. My personal favorite, though, has to be the one at the Grand Floridian.
See over to the right? Your eyes do not deceive you…that house is large enough to hold a souvenir stand. The gingerbread is tasty..and the way the smell permeates the Grand Floridian….awesome.

I tried making a gingerbread house with the kids once . . . that didn’t work so well. I said “never again!” I have the utmost respect for people with the talent and patience to create them!

We also love finding all the hidden mickeys on the GF house.
Yes, the carousel at Beach Club is often overlooked. We make sure to see it every year!

Thank You for this. I have always dreamed of being at Disney around the hoildays. Hopefully I will get the chance to experience it next years.
I have gingerbread everything around my house at Christmas time, so like Kelly above mentioned, this is another thing in Walt Disney World I have to see in person! It looks amazing!
